JUST UPDATED 2024: JAPAN COMING SOON: New York City / Austin / Los Angeles / San Diego / San Antonio / Houston / Dallas / Shanghai / Singapore / Branson (Missouri) / Western Montana

Hi, welcome to the Bradley family Travel Blog! The point of the blog is to let our family and friends see what we are doing and if they ever go to these places they can choose what to see and what to avoid. We tend to lean toward the more active side - like "leave no stone unturned" so if you want to go at a more leisurely pace, you can just pick and choose. Choose a destination above, on the map, or in the groups on the right hand side of the page.

Happy travels, Phill, Shellie, Bix, Brooke

Venice 2015 Day 3 and 4

Blogger lost all my written content again, even after I hit "done".  So here's the short version of day 3 and 4.

Left Rome and took the high speed Trenitalia 250km/hr to Venice.

Getting off the train in Venice we hit the Grand Canal to find a water taxi to our hotel - Pallazzo Giovanelli.  Even though it was about a quarter mile away the taxi would cost €50, so we opted for the water bus which was only €7.5 per person.

We got to our stop and eventually found the entrance to our hotel on a back alleyway.   It was a beautiful entrance:

Here's the front:

We got a very comfortable room and then went out for beer and non-pizza.

Then we hit the casino and came home to prep for our cruise.

The next day we went back down the Grand Canal to the cruise terminals:

And boarded our ship:

Pulling out of port we got great views of Venice and St. Marks Square:

So now we are headed to Dubrovnik, Croatia where is is thunder storming and flooding through tomorrow and we're supposed to go on a dune buggy safari. 😪
