JUST UPDATED 2024: JAPAN COMING SOON: New York City / Austin / Los Angeles / San Diego / San Antonio / Houston / Dallas / Shanghai / Singapore / Branson (Missouri) / Western Montana

Hi, welcome to the Bradley family Travel Blog! The point of the blog is to let our family and friends see what we are doing and if they ever go to these places they can choose what to see and what to avoid. We tend to lean toward the more active side - like "leave no stone unturned" so if you want to go at a more leisurely pace, you can just pick and choose. Choose a destination above, on the map, or in the groups on the right hand side of the page.

Happy travels, Phill, Shellie, Bix, Brooke

Days 1-3 - Hilton Waikoloa Villiage

Our first-class flight (Thank You AA miles) was awesome - the kids slept most of the second leg from LA to Kona.

We got to the hotel by 8pm and everyone was wiped out so we went to bed.
Tuesday we got up and opened the breakfast buffet at 6:30 (since it was 11:30 Texas time). After breakfast we headed to the pool(s). The grounds of the Hilton Waikoloa are awesome - beautiful pools, waterfalls, a beach area, and dolphins.
Brooke learned to snorkel in about 10 minutes and we looked at the fish in the lagoon.
Bix and Brooke went off to night camp to study the stars and play glow golf.

Mom and Dad had a nice Japanese dinner and watched the sun set.  Totemo Oishii!

The kids loved Camp Menehune and really wanted to go back for day camp the next day - NO PROBLEM!  CAN DO.
During breakfast we watched the dolphins at the Dolphin pool - the two younger dolphins were introduced to tetherball.  The momma dolphin was pregnant and due any day.

On Thursday we left the resort to head to the volcano area. I think the kids will miss the resort - especially the boats and trams to get around!
